A girl band on the way to the next gig: the tour bus is cramped, the air is stuffy and the turn-off is wrong. Instead of the planned concert, the five band members see nothing but desert ahead of them. And as if that were not enough of a challenge, the wasteland turns into a musical landscape full of surreal encounters with those who have preceded them. Women composers in their struggle for equal treatment, performance and work opportunities, and recognition. This encounter, as disturbing as it is inspiring, brings to light repressed truths as well as suppressed feelings and almost buried hopes. Will the band also draw new strength from these encounters to leave their own desert in one way or another?
