On 18 November 2025 at the Museum for Communication Berlin
Tickets via the MFK website (sales start soon)

Don Giovanni (from Mozart’s world-famous opera) is in despair: What’s going on here, in this new, digitally subjugated world? All certainties about sex(-ish), desire, lust and gluttony seem to be gone, his arts useless, not only in the realm of Tinder and Grindr. With the opera hero who has fallen out of time, we examine the mechanics of business models, the hidden laws of algorithms that create distorted relationship ideals, bending love and eroticism to generate lucrative profits. But couldn’t we also recapture skills such as wit, creativity, imagination and the art of seduction from and with Giovanni?

DIGITAL SINS: EXCURSIONS INTO THE PURGATORY OF SOCIAL MEDIA AT THE MUSEUM FOR COMMUNICATION

What’s so bad about reaching for your smartphone with its posts, tweets and reels? Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn co-founder, explains: ‘Social networks are most successful when they trigger one of the seven deadly sins’. What? We want to know more about that! With experts, users, music, theatre and an enterprising audience, we’re off into the realm of knowledge. Ahead of us are audio walks, a western showdown with a court hearing and much more.
