A musical metamorphosis
STEGREIF.orchester – Neuköllner Oper – Prinzessinnengarten Kollektiv Berlin
With MOON MUSIC, musicians and activists from STEGREIF.orchester, Neuköllner Oper and the Prinzessinnengarten Kollektiv invite you to a contemplative-interactive performance series in which music and moon phases, forgotten myths, rites and tales connect with body, mind and soul to mobilize new forces. It’s springtime, after all! On three evenings from January to March, we move from dark to light, from winter to the beginning of spring, from protective space to open field, and ultimately from valley to hill – from the Neukölln Opera House to the Kiez Chapel and onto the fields of the Princess Garden at the New St. Jacobi Cemetery.
The events in January and February will take place digitally due to the current pandemic situation. We hope to be able to play in the Prinzessinnengärten in March as planned and will inform you as soon as possible.

MOON MUSIC I: Abschied
January 17 & 18, 2021, 8 – 9 p.m.
Today we leave 2020 behind us once and for all: with music theater, meditation and new rituals. The Rauhnächte 20/21 inspired the STEGREIF.orchester to a cross-genre experiment between music, theater and film. With this we get in the mood for the interactive part of the evening: A joint musical meditation of musicians and audience via ZOOM – the first part of our journey towards spring.
with Justus Wilcken (performer, bariton, electric guitar), Anne-Sophie Bereuter (performer, arrangement, violin), Maria Reich (performer, composer, viola, electric bass), Julia Biłat (performer, composer, cello).
