Due to an illness in the ensemble, we unfortunately have to cancel the performances of SUBOTNIK on 1 & 2 October 2024.

Tickets purchased in the webshop by credit card, PayPal or instant bank transfer will be automatically refunded and lose their validity. Tickets purchased by cash or EC card will be refunded in cash at the box office (or you can provide us with your account details). With SUBOTNIK he was the winner of the BERLINER OPERNPREIS in 2022. Now the Australian composer Samuel Penderbayne has been appointed Professor of Composition at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna. Our warmest congratulations!

From September 22, his work can be experienced in SUBOTNIK in an extended revival in the studio.

After 12 years on the board of directors of the NKO, Laura Hörold handed over the management to Marta Hewelt on July 1.

The theater studies graduate joined the Neukölln Opera in 2011 after working as a freelance production manager. In addition to her actual work, she enriched the NKO’s productions through her diverse contacts in the independent scene. Through her work in the management team, the Neuköllner Oper has not only maintained its reputation as a popular venue for artists and audiences alike, but has also joined forward-looking networks such as the Federal Cultural Foundation’s Zero Climate Neutral Art and Culture Projects project. We wish her all the best for her future career!
